A BIT ABOUT US
Current Mission
Here at Solar Oven Project Team also named as WuHoo, we see the value in everyone. In our recent project, the task is to assemble and improve a prototype of a solar oven with the given materials and drawings. The first step involves reviewing the progress that was completed in the previous semesters. This requires continuously communicating with the client to identify the project requirements and analysing the risks from all perspectives. During this project, the team will follow the engineering life cycle and maintain traceable documentation via a shared repository. The workload will be broken down into subtasks and evenly distributed. Every team member will contribute to this project in their area of expertise and deliver professional engineering solutions.
3D MODELLING V1
Solar Oven Prototype
The capstone team is majorly focusing on developing the temperature monitor system for the system. This Real-time temperature monitor system includes android application development and hardware implementation using Arduino board and temperature sensor.
3D MODELLING V2
Solar Oven Prototype
After receiving the prototype, the team redesign a prototype which fits the size and appearance. This 3D model will be constantly updated if any change has been applied such as handle installation.
3D MODELLING V3
Solar Oven Prototype
The final vision of the 3D model is used to design a gip filler between the oven and the cavity. Hinges that we bought are added to the design. This 3D model is used as the hero image in our showcase poster.

FEEDBACK RESPONSE

Implement the actionable items from Audit 2 feedback
Upon the response from key stakeholders, the following actions have been made in order to enhance the feedback mechanism and further improve our project outcome. The goal of this document is to derive the actionable items from each comment that can be implemented as additional project constraints.
HANDOVER DOCUMENT
Apply system engineering design concept
This project aims to finish an incomplete prototype of a smart solar oven as well as adding more smart features. It is fundamentally a follow-up and improvement of the previous work done by other groups. Because our client does not specialise in engineering, it is our duty to analyse their implicit requirements and identify the evaluate the current project progress in a systematic way.
CURRENT PROGRESS (WEEK 9):

The current crash goals
Hardware development:
An updated 3D drawing.
A research of the hinges and handle force analysis that allows us the purchase the correct components (since the access of the ANU maker space is no longer available)
The parts are already ordered and are on the way.
Rubber Gap filler design.
Software development:
Temperature recording Arduino code (virtual design)
Blynk app connection to smartphone.
A testing plan has been finalized and will be implemented once we are granted access to the Engineering building.
